Beautiful Beaches in North Carolina
Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, N.C. were profiled in a July 29th Washington Post feature story on alternatives to vacationing on the crowded Outer Banks of North Carolina. Touting Carolina Beach’s “boardwalk with all-ages attractions” and calling Kure Beach a “colorful seaside community,” the feature extolled the virtues of vacationing in the towns.
While praising the clean, beautiful beaches of the two communities, the feature story also recommended that tourists check out the rare Venus flytraps at the 700-acre Carolina Beach State Park, experience a moonlight dance cruise with Winner Cruise Boats, and “be multi-entertained at Fort Fisher Recreation Area.”
Recommended restaurants included Bowman’s at the Beach (Kure Beach) and Olde Salty (Carolina Beach), as well a suggestion that visitors “rise early for warm glazed doughnuts from Britt’s Doughnuts, a Boardwalk indulgence.”
The feature article can be found online at which also appeared online at Beautiful North Carolina Beaches.
