I Missed The Discount Mexico Cruise on Carnival Fantasy

Published by Traveler under Family Cruise

Could you imagine how I felt when I found out that I could not take the discount Mexico Cruise on Carnival Fantasy?

I had just purchased a few items for my daughter, got her situated for her trip to North Carolina, sent her off and was planning to make a deposit when it showed, “Sold Out!”

Traverus Member Mexico Cruise

That taught me a valuable lesson…never wait to take advantage of travel discounts.

The only good thing is I know there will be additional travel discounts available to visit other places around the world.

If you like taking advantage of travel discounts like I do then you should check out the Travel Agent Rates and Discounts page and see how you can benefit too!

Until next time!

Using Travel To Teach History

Published by Traveler under Travel Journey

As I was surfing the net, I came across a book that encourages parents to incorporate history lessons into their travel.

Suzanne and Craig Sheumaker, authors of the new travel book ‘America’s Living History-The Early Years’ said, “While having fun, your children will gain a different view of life, one that can be applied to their own world when you add a little insight.”

That got me wondering, “How often do parents attempt to integrate what children read in the books to the real world?” I do my best but must admit I have dropped the ball in this area. :(

“The complexities of life - everyday issues, ideas and relationships - are easier to understand and cope with when viewed from a vantage point outside of ourselves. The past provides not only distance but also perspective,” Suzanne notes.

Instead of traveling to experience the world, I plan to incorporate a little history lesson for my young adults! This will require me to do a little information gathering, but a little work never hurt anyone. :)

Until next time!
